Tiger IT Bangladesh has been selected to provide an automated fingerprint identification system for the Department of Home and Civil Registration and Census and the Department of Immigration in Bhutan.

The contract was signed with the Ministry of Home and Cultural Affairsin Bhutan. According to a report in The Daily Star, Tiger IT won the contract, competing against vendors including Sagem, NEC, IRIS and eDruk in an open international tender. More…

The eight-member Bhutanese delegation arrived in the capital Monday for secretary-level talks scheduled to start on March 20 between Dhaka and Thimphu, a high trade official said.

Secretary, Ministry of Economic Affairs of Bhutan Dasho Sonam Tshering will lead his country while Commerce Secretary Mahbub Ahmed will steer the Bangladesh side at the meeting.
