At the Vietnam-Ukraine Business Forum held in Hanoi late last week, Ukraine Prime Minister M. Azarov, emphasized that Ukraine really wishes to cooperate with Vietnam in the aviation sector. The Prime Minister said it is the aviation industry which is one of the greatest advantages of Ukraine. It has Antonov, the aircraft factory which specializes in making very large transport aircrafts, inter-regional passenger airplanes with modern and safe technologies which are in no way inferior to any kinds of planes made in Europe or the US. Usually, the announcement of a global chain store opening in a well-trafficked mall is not the making of headlines outside the local market. But when Gap Inc. announced the opening of a namesake store in South Africa, it was news on a couple of fronts.

First, the opening came at a time when the retailer is closing stores in the U.S., reducing its footprint at home as it fuels up to expand overseas.
